BSE Limited, known as the Bombay Stock Exchange, is an Indian financial exchange headquartered on Dalal Street in Mumbai. Established in 1875 by Premchand Roychand as The Native Share & Stock Brokers Association, it is the oldest stock exchange in Asia. The exchange was formally recognized by the Government of India in 1957, demutualized in 2007, and publicly listed on the National Stock Exchange in 2017. As of 2026, it stands as one of the world's top ten largest publicly traded stock exchange operators with a valuation exceeding ₹1.39 lakh crore.
