Yoshinobu Tsutsui is a prominent Japanese corporate leader who serves as the Chairman of Keidanren (Japan Business Federation), the country's most influential business association. He spent over four decades at Nippon Life Insurance Company, serving as President from 2011 to 2018 and Chairman from 2018 to 2024, during which he orchestrated major acquisitions such as Mitsui Life Insurance in 2015. Appointed Keidanren Chairman in May 2025, he broke historic tradition as the first head of the business lobby to hail from the financial industry rather than manufacturing. In addition to his leadership at Keidanren, Tsutsui serves as a private-sector member on Japan's Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy and previously led the Green Transformation (GX) Promotion Organization.
