Chris Malachowsky is an American electrical engineer and business executive best known as a cofounder of technology company Nvidia. In April 1993, he conceived the company during a meeting at Denny's with Jensen Huang and Curtis Priem. He has served as Nvidia's Senior Vice President for Engineering and Operations since its early days following earlier roles at Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems. In 2023, the University of Florida inaugurated Malachowsky Hall for Data Science & Information Technology following his $25 million contribution toward the HiPerGator AI supercomputer.
