Leonard Bosack is an American computer scientist and technology entrepreneur who co-founded Cisco Systems in 1984 alongside Sandy Lerner. While serving as Director of Computer Facilities for Stanford University's Computer Science Department, he developed key commercial router hardware and software that allowed incompatible local area networks to communicate. After stepping down from Cisco in 1990 following its initial public offering, Bosack and Lerner sold their equity stake for approximately $170 million. He later founded XKL, LLC, an optical networking technology provider based in Kirkland, Washington, where he serves as Chief Executive Officer.
