Francesco Starace is an Italian energy executive who served as the CEO and General Manager of Enel Group between 2014 and 2023. He earned a nuclear engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1980 and began his career analyzing nuclear plant safety for NIRA Ansaldo. Over the following decades, Starace built an executive career across international engineering firms, including General Electric affiliate SAE SADELMI, ABB, and Alstom Power, prior to joining Enel in 2000.
