David 'Dave' Rosenberg is a Canadian economist and the founder and president of Toronto-based macroeconomic consulting firm Rosenberg Research & Associates Inc., established in January 2020. Prior to founding his own firm, he served as Chief Economist and Strategist at Gluskin Sheff + Associates from 2009 to 2019 and Chief North American Economist at Merrill Lynch from 2002 to 2009. He earned his BA and MA in economics from the University of Toronto and is widely known for accurately predicting the 2007–2008 U.S. housing market crash.
