Christopher Stolte is an American computer scientist, tech entrepreneur, and philanthropist best known as a co-founder of Tableau Software. Educated at Simon Fraser University and Stanford University, Stolte created the underlying database visualization techniques and VizQL query language that served as the technical foundation for Tableau in 2003 alongside Pat Hanrahan and Christian Chabot.
