Aditya Vikram Birla (1943–1995) was an Indian industrialist who spearheaded the global expansion of his family's business group into Southeast Asia and Egypt. After earning a chemical engineering degree from MIT, he established successful textile, chemical, and edible oil ventures across Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia. As chairman of the Birla group, he oversaw major diversification into petrochemicals and telecommunications prior to his death in 1995.
